another quote

Sometimes I can't help but wonder if some people really do have a connection. Such is the way I would explain the phenomenon that happens when this friend of mine sends a quote right at the moment when I need it or when I could perfectly relate with it. (Perfect timing ba...)

One of the few meaningful quotes that I have ever receieved...

"Sometimes you have to put walls around you, not to keep people out
But to see who cares enough to break them down just to be with you."

I admit that it took time before I was able to grasp the real meaning of friendship.

There were times before when I would say deep inside me "Respeto naman. Buhay ko 'to. Huwag mong pakialaman."

But when I think about it, that's actually the essence of friendship. It's about that person who grabs your cellphone and reads your inbox, outbox, archives, and even your sent flolder, enters your room without even knocking, goes over your letters without even asking for permission, appreciates you for who you are and yet constructively criticizes you, tells you why you shouldn't give this guy a chance or why you should give the other guy a chance.

Friends are those people you'd hate for caring too much about every bit of fact in your life.
They are those you'd be irritated with for not ceasing on convincing you to share everything that you haven't shared.
And yet, these are also the very people you'd miss once the distance has kept you apart....just the way I miss them right now.

And oh yeah...just to reiterate the quote...it's that someone who'd break down those walls no matter what it takes...

And oh yes...the quote is not limited to friendship but to other relationships we have with people who care.

*hint * hint * ???
